Why?

Faced with leading a staff development session in under 48 hours' time in which I'd like to generate some enthusiasm for getting courses on-line, and to have some activities that my colleagues will enjoy and (hopefully) not know everything about already, the idea of using a blog to make course materials accessible just came into my head.

Now, at this point, I have no idea whether it will work or not but, because this Blog template inverts contributions so that the latest appear at the top of the list, you'll know by the time you read this!

Students like to be able to get at lesson notes, maybe the lesson itself again, links to resources and activities at their leisure, when they feel like it rather than just when we tell them to. The concept of putting a course on-line has the scheme of work at its heart. With that on board, each item covered in a particular session can be linked from it. That's a start and is what I'm going to try to do here.
